• Active client data — retained for the duration of your LEGESYS engagement plus 2 years
• Payment and invoice records — retained for 7 years as required under Indian GST and tax law
• Consultation and call notes — retained for 2 years from the date of the call
• WhatsApp communication logs — retained for 1 year from the last interaction
• Marketing and newsletter subscriber data — retained until you unsubscribe

Once the applicable retention period expires, we securely delete or anonymise the data. You may request early deletion as described in Section 8.

As a LEGESYS client, you are the owner and controller of your customer and lead data. The leads, contacts, and pipeline data generated through your LEGESYS setup belong to you.

As the data controller for your customer data, you are responsible for:

• Obtaining appropriate consent from your customers and leads before enrolling them in automated sequences
• Managing, updating, and deleting end-user records in your pipeline as required
• Complying with data protection laws applicable in your jurisdiction and your clients' jurisdictions
• Ensuring your use of LEGESYS automation tools complies with WhatsApp Business Policy

LEGESYS processes your end-user data solely under your instructions and does not access, use, or analyse your customer data for our own purposes without your explicit authorisation.
